DIY Pashmina Tags for Wedding Favors

Hello!! Today I'm sharing the easiest craft I did for my destination wedding. I gave these pashminas to the ladies that were attending my wedding and put them in their Destination Wedding Welcome Bags. I found the idea to give a pashmina on bestdestinationwedding.com as well as the verbiage "To have and to hold and keep you from cold". This was super easy to do and tied in beautifully with the theme. I found the pashminas on Ebay for $4.99 each!

DIY Personalized Tumblers

Today I'm sharing the personalized tumblers that I made for my destination wedding guests. I put these inside of their Welcome Bags that I made and was surprised by how much my guests loved these, my dad is still using his years after our wedding. I got the idea for this from a past vacation my husband and I took, I read many reviews and found that bringing a large cup that keeps drinks cold is a commodity at all inclusive resorts and quickly went out to buy some Tervis'. For my wedding I wanted guests to be able to use something that would have them stand out as being part of our wedding party and to be a fun reminder of their trip. Cottonball Wreath DIY

I came home from school (I teach kindergarten) and was ready to craft! :) I went to Michael's craft store yesterday wanting to make a wreath. After searching Pinterest for winter wreaths I found this great idea for a 'snow' themed wreath using cotton balls. Apparently these are really popular but I have never seen one! The original poster has some great pictures of her finished product. DIY Destination Wedding Welcome Bags

Hello Everyone!! I had my destination wedding in Jamaica in July 2012 and wanted to share all of the fun things that I crafted for the wedding and for the guests that attended. I worked really hard tying in all of the little beach themed ideas for my wedding to get the impact I wanted. I have several posts that I'll still be adding as well as converting from the old blog. I promised myself that I will get all wedding crafts blogged this year! So today I wanted to share the Welcome Bags that I made for my guests. We were very blessed to have over 20 people paying their own way to attend our destination wedding! I wanted to be able to give them a token of my appreciation as well as something they could keep forever and remember our trip.

Goodwill find - write-on plate with ribbon!

Hello,

Last weekend I went to my local Goodwill store and found myself a little treasure! Have you seen those white plates with the cut outs along the border and ribbon at craft stores? I found one at the thrift store!

Here is a picture of the white plate I found for $2.00 and the red velvet Christmas ribbon that I also found at the thrift store for $0.50! This whole craft cost me $2.50... and I've seen these plates for $30+! I was jumping for joy when I came home.

 All you do is string the ribbon through the border...

 I looked for ways to tie bows with velvet ribbon on Youtube and was pretty happy with how my little bow turned out. There is a piece of wire holding the bow together.

 

Then you get an expo marker and write on the plate. If you want to change the saying just erase with a napkin and start over!

I love these plates because you can change out the ribbon with holidays or just whatever ribbon you like at the craft store. If you have a birthday you could get birthday ribbon and write the name and age of the family member, you could count down the days until Christmas on it, you could put Halloween ribbon on it and make it look spooky... so many ideas! It looks so cute in my kitchen. :)

DIY Old / Antique Window Sign

Hi!

I am so excited to show you my antique window sign. I was feeling so crafty this weekend! I found an old antique window at an antique storefor $10.00. I think it is so cute. It's pretty banged up and has black paint on it around the window part but I think it adds to the character of it. :) Antique/old windows are EVERYWHERE right now. They will be easy to find if you decide you want one, too.

hrase "so fresh and so clean clean" after seeing a similar sign on Pinterest. I thought it would be super cute in my guest bathroom. You can change up the saying or vinyl color to fit what you want.

DIY Ornament Wreath

This was BY FAR the easiest way to make an ornament wreath. I tried making one earlier in the week with glass ornaments and hot glue and let me just say... that was a big, giant nightmare. Make it easy on yourself and stick to the plastic ones and no glue. I used about 70 ornaments to make my wreath. I have about 30 mini ornaments left in my package and I'm thinking about making another with just the small ones.
